AI is not a separate topic in this course. It is woven into every week. You will learn to use it well, and to govern it well, at the same time. Every week includes a dedicated AI integration block that names where AI helps with the week's deliverable, what example prompts to adapt, and what to disclose about how AI assisted. The constant across all four roles is that the human stays in charge of judgement, ethics, and trust.
You will use AI to do the work of the week itself: drafting audit notes, generating segmentation options, stress-testing a transparency disclosure, simulating audience reactions, writing risk-and-action message pairs, checking consistency across your construct ratings.
The course gives you example prompts you can adapt. By the end you will have a portable prompt library you take with you. The same discipline you build using AI as a working partner is what your specifications will later require of the services you design.
Plenty of high-stakes communication content now passes through AI at some stage. The course teaches you to design that workflow deliberately: what AI drafts, what humans review, where the guardrails sit, how disclosure works, what gets logged, and how rollback operates.
You will build workflows you can hand to a team or a vendor. They are the operational versions of the AI integration practices the course models in its own work.
AI also supports the decisions behind the communication: risk scoring, audience analysis, channel selection, fatigue monitoring, post-launch evaluation. The course shows you where AI strengthens those decisions, and where it should not be making them at all.
Where automated decisions affect what audiences see, what they receive, or how they are treated, you are operating under additional obligations (Australia's APP 1.7 to 1.9 effective December 2026; GDPR Article 22; sector-specific automated-decision rules). The course makes those obligations operational.
Throughout, the position is the same. AI is a powerful partner. Human judgement, ethics, and trust are non-negotiable. Every AI use case in the course is paired with the question of where the human stays in charge.
The six non-negotiables in the AI-ICM (introduced earlier in this orientation) are the operational floor. The six working principles further down are the conduct standard you apply to your own work in the course.
